How did you two meet?
We met at a bar in Kansas City (where we both live) on a random Friday night! He had asked me to go to dinner that week and the rest is history! In fact, this Sunday, April 25th, will be the 6 year anniversary of when we met!

How did Matt propose?
We have a really nice space on the rooftop of the building we live in that overlooks the city. We typically pop up there in the evenings, especially in the summer, to enjoy the weather, listen to some music and have a cocktail or two! Matt had told me earlier in the week that he had made dinner plans with another couple for Friday night, and to be ready by 6. Once 6pm on Friday rolled around he said they were running late and asked if I wanted to go upstairs and have a drink while we waited. Once we were on the rooftop, listening to some music and having a cocktail, Matt popped the question (he pulled the ring box out of the little mini cooler we took with us, ha!) – I was completely surprised and not expecting it at all! After I discovered the Friday night plans were a ruse, we went downstairs to find my family and a few of my closest friends inside a limo that was waiting to take us to Matt’s parents house. Once there his family was waiting for us to arrive and had a wonderful little outdoor get together to celebrate the news.

Wedding color palette
I wanted to keep everything clean and light, and stuck with a color palette of white with hints of blues. My bridesmaids wore white as well, and our groomsmen wore a bit of a brighter blue suit than the more traditional navy suit Matt wore.

Most memorable moments from your wedding day?
Such a hard question for such a memorable day! I was too focused on not crying to remember anything from the ceremony so I think I’d have to say the moment right after the ceremony when Matt and I were able to sneak off and have a few minutes to ourselves. It’s such an overwhelming day, and it was so nice to finally relax and enjoy our first few moments as husband and wife together in a quiet little room overlooking our reception and all of our guests down below.
