How did you and Grant meet?
A very persistent friend who just knew we would be great together 🙂

How did he propose?
June 11, 2021 – In his granny’s beautiful backyard <3
His sister Adele was in town, so we were driving to his parents to visit and go grab dinner. When we were almost to his parents house, he pulled into his Granny’s driveway (which was on the same road, just before his parent’s home.) He said “We’re picking up Granny,” and I immediately looked to the backseat where our 85 lb. golden retriever was sitting, and thought where the heck are we going to fit her?! We got out of the car, Adele and Granny were sitting on the patio drinking some red wine. I was mid sentence/hug telling Granny hello when Grant grabbed my hand and started walking me to the backyard – and I immediately knew. “Is it happening?” – me, suddenly very aware of my hands and SO nervous. “Yeah” – Grant, grinning ear to ear, cool as a cucumber.

After, my childhood best friend, Abby, popped out of a bush with a camera – we all shed some tears and hugged, finished the drive to Grants parents house where my family was (more tears). We ended the night with champagne on his parent’s barge with string lights to celebrate. One of my most favorite nights 🙂

First dance song
Til I’m Ninety Nine by Nathan Angelo

Bundt Cake flavors
Ok – I’m not positive on these, but I know the larger cake was Funfetti (of course.)
There was a strawberries and cream, red velvet, lemon, and I think a chocolate chocolate chip!

Most memorable moments from your wedding day
Hmm… all of it? LOL
But really, there are definitely a few things that stand out

+ The Ceremony.
We had a smaller ceremony, with just family and God parents. My brother got ordained online (Reverend Dr. Mullins, D.D.S 😉 ), Grant’s 24 year old sister was our flower girl, and we had our best friends as our matron of honor and best man. It was so special to have all of our closest people involved in our intimate ceremony. I was so nervous to get married in front of a lot of people (hence, the smaller ceremony) but the entire time, I just felt at peace and SO excited to finally be married to Grant. It was perfect for us.

+ Getting Ready with my girls.
I absolutely loved getting ready with all of my girls. All of my closest friends at some point in the day came by to hang out while I was getting ready, and it truly made me the happiest girl alive. The day felt so easy (as easy as getting ready for your wedding can.) Plus, my two besties brought their baby girls – just simply the best!

+ The last dance.
I honestly didn’t really know this was a thing until a few weeks before the wedding, and it was THE BEST. Grant and I were just so deliriously happy, dancing to “I Was Born to Love You” by ourselves at the end of the night. I had fun the entire night, but I think I had the most fun then. A very, very happy moment that makes me smile when I think about it.
