Riverview Room Wedding | Beth + Cory

Beth and Cory were so fun to work with. Riverview Room has the best views of the French Quarter, and the rain didn’t stop us. Between thunderstorms, the golden light shone through, and their ceremony was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of time to explore the French Quarter and take photos on the Friends replica couch, which was only there for the weekend. Beth and Cory’s band, Three Thirty Seven, was one of the best I have seen. They really brought the party. When you catch me dancing on the dance floor, you know it’s good!

Describe your wedding day in three words
Rain, friends, dancing!

And if our wedding was a movie title it would be Gone in 60 Seconds. Everything literally went by SO FAST. In the blink of an eye. The reception felt like it was 30 minutes (best “30 minutes” of our lives.)

Sage and white

How did you two meet?
Swiped right, baby! Met on tinder when Cory first moved to Birmingham at the end of 2015! We met up for the first time at one of my favorite bars in town.

How did he propose?
We have quite the unconventional love story I’d say. We love to have a good time, and I’m impossible to surprise. So Cory did it the best way he knew how. We were at the beach on the annual Forrer family vacation, and Cory is not a huge beach fan. So I should have figured something was up when he packed a cooler and wanted to get on the beach at 9:30 in the morning (on our last day of the 7 day trip – TOOK HIM 6 DAYS TO GET THE COURAGE) but needless to say I won’t turn down a packed cooler and being the first person on the beach! Second clue something was up was Cory downing beers. Guess he was nervous. I jokingly said you wanna shot gun a beer, and he was like absolutely! And next thing ya know we are shotgunning a beer and turn around after and he is down on one knee. How. Romantic. Modern day Romeo. 🤦🏼‍♀️

What are your most memorable moments from your wedding day?
Honestly, when I’m telling people about my wedding or when people talk about my wedding there are several moments that come to mind! Starting off with Lauren’s idea to go to the Friends couch for a picture and asking the long line if they cared if we got a picture and everyone was just so excited for us! It was so fun walking through the quarter to the PERFECT WALL to take the perfect pictures! Everyone was so nice and congratulating us on our entire walk! And the moment everyone else talks about was my time spent on the ground and playing the trumpet. Don’t know what got in to me, but it felt right at the time! The band was amazing and I didn’t spend near as much time talking to guests as I should have because I never wanted to level the dance floor! And then the second line. Oh my gosh the second line!

Cake flavors
