Bywater Wedding | Allegra + Sean

Allegra and Sean’s Bywater wedding at the Tigermen Den was laid back and full of love. Some of my favorite weddings are those who ditch the traditions and just enjoy gathering with family and friends. My favorite moments were their first look (in the coolest room with the best light!), sawing the log after their ceremony, and the intimate nature of the ceremony. There were so many laughs and happy tears.

Describe your wedding day in three words
One big party!

How did you two meet?
We surprisingly met through a dating app, Hinge.

How did Sean propose?
Sean and I are both avid outdoor enthusiasts and climbers. Sean proposed on a bouldering trip in Joes Valley, Utah. It’s one of my favorite bouldering spots in the US! Rather than caravanning out with friends, we left a little earlier than the rest of our group. Sean popped the question after we arrived at camp and shortly after the rest of our crew showed up with champagne!

What are your most memorable moments from your wedding day?
Really just how much everyone helped out. I’m not sure if all weddings are such community affairs, but every single guest helped us in one way or another!

Cake flavor
Berry Chantilly cake from Bywater Bakery

First dance song
We decided not to do a first dance, but we did play Fruit Bats – When U Love Somebody after our ceremony instead.

Where did your guests travel from to attend your special day?
We were absolutely thrilled to have so many guests join us from other cities we love – Denver, Cleveland, Columbus, San Diego, Seattle, Brooklyn, Chicago, St. Petersburg, and Atlanta.
