How did you and Doug meet?
Doug and I met at our mutual friends’, Catherine and Jonathan, engagement party in Baton Rouge. We instantly connected over our love for New Orleans.
How did he propose?
Doug worked closely with my oldest sister, Betty, in planning the most special proposal. It was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and I was coming home from running errands all morning. I walked into our house and found rose petals placed all throughout our home towards our backyard. There I saw Doug in front of blow up “Marry Me?” balloons and that’s when it hit me that he was proposing. Doug dropped down on one knee and popped the question in our backyard. My sisters and Doug’s parents came out right after the proposal to celebrate. It was the sweetest proposal!
