Describe your wedding in five words or less:
Stress Free, Fun, and Memorable
How did you and Clayton meet?
Through a mutual friend 12 years ago and then we randomly ran into each other in Lafayette at the beginning of April 2017.
How did he propose?
I was commuting from Lafayette to Madisonville on the weekends to see him. We had a fun day at Oak Alley Plantation planned for a Saturday. I thought that was when it was going to happen because that’s such a romantic setting with the trees and I knew it was coming soon. When I got to his house on Friday he said he had to talk to me about some things. Now looking back he was acting super weird. When we got in the kitchen he asked me some questions about what kind of ring I wanted and then showed me the one he had bought and asked if that would do. He later told me he planned on asking me a different way but he just couldn’t wait once he got it from Tyler Ross, the jewelry store.
Most memorable moment(s) from your wedding day:
We didn’t have one particular moment that stood out over the rest. The whole day was just perfect. We both have a few different groups of friends in different cities around the country and hardly get to see our families so for almost everyone we love to be in the one place having fun was just so special.
Cake flavors:
Bride’s cake – Carrot and Strawberry Shortcake
Groom’s cake – Red Velvet
First Dance song:
Best Friend – Jason Mraz
