Our bathroom renovation

0001

I am SO excited to share my bathroom renovation with you! This was a fun process. I started with a general idea, and the room really took shape through the past months. I would have never dreamed that this is what the final design would look like. I started with 4 purple walls and a rusty clawfoot tub (my dream tub!) I want to give a huge thank you to the guys who helped me get the big things done! I have their names referenced at the end of this post along with where I bought every little thing.

Now for the fun stuff! I am constantly watching HGTV. You know, Flip or Flop, Fixer Upper, etc. This reno totally played out like one of those shows. Once we removed the original tile, the floor was rotted underneath from a tub leak. Womp Womp. *queue commercial break after finding out bad news*

Things got messy, to say the least, but that makes the final product feel even more rewarding! After replacing the subfloor, it was time to get to business! My beautiful hexagon tiles were ready to be laid. I chose Oyster Gray grout to subtly contrast the white tile.

Next, it was time for TUB RESTORATION! I chose Aviatrix (Sherwin Williams) for the tub color and black feet. Once the tub was finished, my vision started coming together for the rest of the room.

One night while sitting on the couch with Emma and my sister Netflix binging, on a whim, I decided that my bathroom needed a BIG FLORAL ACCENT WALL. So, yeah, that happened, and I freakin’ love it. Hellooo boudoir shoots!

Fun fact: These striped turkish towels were the first item that I bought before starting the renovation. I am a big fan of Maewoven!

After many hours of searching the internet, I finally landed upon this perfect table to place by the pedestal sink.

I originally bought this West Elm mobile chandelier for my living room. I unboxed it and placed it on the bathroom floor before company came over for dinner. The next morning, I walked into the bathroom with the chandelier on the floor, and everything clicked. The oversized chandelier brought the brass colors and design together perfectly. I love how those things happen!
