So long sweet summer

“Summer was our best season. It was sleeping on the back screened porch in cots, or trying to sleep in the treehouse; summer was everything good to eat; it was a thousand colors in a parched landscape.”

We come alive in the summer time. It is definitely my favorite season because of the long days and heavenly sunsets.

Summer is staying up super late and sleeping in.
Summer is throwing on a simple dress and watering the garden with an iced coffee in hand.
Summer is family gathered around the table to eat green beans, chicken fried steak, and peppered white gravy.
Summer is climbing trees and epic play dates.
Summer is red rain boots and big juicy tomatoes.
