Beau and I met at Jack’s Place, the local watering hole, at the jukebox to be exact. He walked in and I asked a mutual friend “who is THAT?!”
So, Beau purchased the ring and immediately went over to my friends’ house to show them. They were so excited but had no idea he was going to propose that night. He didn’t originally plan to, but that ring literally burned a hole in his pocket. When I got home from work that afternoon he mentioned that he spent most of his savings on Christmas presents and I threw a semi-dramatic fit. I was like “I guess I’ll just be 30 when I get married!”… Little did I know he would propose in our kitchen that night. We were keeping my nieces for the night so I was too occupied to notice how suspicious he was acting. When we got home after picking up the girls, I went to my room to change (ugly Christmas sweater, glasses…camera ready HAHA!) I came around the corner and there he was on one knee. My nieces and friend, Kim were behind him filming and giggling so I thought he was playing a joke on me, but after hearing his cracking voice and seeing his uncontrollably shaking hands I knew he was serious. Of course I said yes 🙂

What were your most memorable moments from the wedding day?
The entire day getting ready with all of my favorite women (and Royce) was one I’ll never forget. Even in the hectic moments I couldn’t help but think how blessed I was to have so many people that love me that much.
How emotional Beau was when I walked down the aisle was something I’ll never forget. I don’t think anyone saw that coming. He has a tough exterior so it was really something to see him like that.
Elvis, obviously. My aunt brought my cousins and I to Memphis when we were little, to raise our spirits after my dad passed away. I’ve loved Elvis ever since so they decided to surprise me with an Elvis impersonator at the reception. It was so original and so special to me 🙂
