My most memorable moment from the wedding was walking down the aisle with my dad at the beautiful St. Mary’s Assumption Church and meeting eyes with Matt for the first time.

Matt and I met in 2010 in Austin, Texas. We both had just moved there a month before. I was a travel nurse from Windsor, Ontario, and he had just moved to Austin from New Orleans for school. We ran into each other Memorial Day weekend at J Black’s on 6th street, and the rest is history.

Matt proposed during a trip to Puerto Rico. We hiked two hours up El Yunque National Rainforest, and there at the top, just the two of us for miles, Matt got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect and the moment took my breath away!
