Between the beautiful rainbow that sat above the second line and the World Naked Bike Ride with hundredddds of naked participants that passed (ha!), Sarah and Blake’s wedding was one to remember!! This classic French quarter wedding had me swooning. I just love the portraits in front of the cathedral. This was a destination wedding for Sarah and Blake, since New Orleans is just a fantastic place to have a party, so guests came in mostly from the Indianapolis area, Green Bay WI, Bowling Green KY, Miami FL and Chicago IL to celebrate with them.
How they met: Blake and I met all the way back in 2008. My sorority sister, and bridesmaid, Amy was dating his childhood friend Brad and we met at a group night out. Blake and I would run into each other once or twice a year, including at Amy and Brad’s wedding in 2012, but he didn’t ask me out on a date until June 2014…6 years later!!!
The proposal: Blake knows that not only do I hate surprises, but I am very difficult to surprise so he actually waited to propose until I was ready for bed and wearing pink monkey pajamas. He had rose petals in the hallway and just popped out and popped the question. Truly the only way to catch me off guard!
