Jenny and Eric met in college, where they lived across the street from each other. Though it definitely was crush at first sight, they didn’t date for years until their mutual love of Vietnamse food finally brought them together. On one fateful morning, Jenny and Eric ventured to New Orleans East to try Dong Phuong’s famous banh mi and king cake. After a long car ride full of great conversation and accidental detours, they arrived at their destination only to find that there was nowhere to sit in the bakery. Luckily, there was an empty grassy lot right across the street that was just perfect for a banh mi picnic. What started as a food adventure among friends quickly turned into quite the romantic accidental date. It was apparent to both of them that they had found something very special. They started dating not long after and have enjoyed many more banh mi picnics ever since. Three and a half years later, Eric proposed to Jenny in Bayou Savage, just a few blocks away from their accidental first date (after a delicious feast at Dong Phuong of course!) While many of their wedding guests were from the Gulf Coast, a large portion traveled from New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and even as far as Sweden and Israel to witness their special day!

Our favorite memories from our wedding day were the first look, our vows, and the hora! We also loved seeing all of the DIY details we both worked so hard on finally come to life.
DIY details include: gator pin favors, hankies, invitations, veil, garters, flower girl wreaths, and the dried flower aisle decor (which was made up of all of the roses Eric has given me throughout our relationship.)
