Santa Barbara

Bucket list: See Jack Johnson play in a tropical place… check!

I have been a lover of Jack Johnson’s music since I was a freshman in high school. He is practically the soundtrack to my life. When I saw that he was touring this summer, I immediately booked tickets to his Santa Barbara show! My friend Lauren and I explored Los Angeles, Calabasas, Beverly Hills, Laguna Beach, the wineries in Santa Maria, and Santa Barbara. The best part of the whole trip, other than seeing Jack Johnson play, of course, was our incredible Airbnb! It was a glass cottage in nature paradise. Seriously. I loved living a minimalist life that week. No cell phone service, just us and nature. We felt so far from the world, but we were only 15 minutes from town. We cooked breakfast every morning in our outdoor kitchen and met cool new friends along the way. If you want the true Santa Barbara experience, check out this amazing Airbnb!

There was SO MUCH TO DO and SEE, but here were some of our favorite stops!

Grand Central Market in Los Angeles
Farmers Market in Los Angeles
Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles (love its dark history)
Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara
Arigato Sushi in Santa Barbara
Public Market in Santa Barbara
Noodle City in Santa Barbara (we had to get our pho fix in Cali!)
The French Press in Santa Barbara
McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream in Santa Barbara
Farmers Market in Santa Barbara
Thousand Steps Beach in Santa Barbara (LOVED all of the midcentury modern homes in the neighborhood by this beach access)
Cabana Cafe at the Beverly Hills Hotel
Foxen Vineyard in Santa Maria
Fess Parker Winery in Santa Maria
The Rooftop in Laguna Beach
