Megan and Paul’s wedding was tons of fun! Their first look brought tears to my eyes. The food, music, and atmosphere was full of New Orleans flavor. 134 out of 137 guests were from out of town. They had guests from 21 states including California, New Hampshire, New York, Florida, Michigan, and Ohio!
How they met: Megan and Paul met freshman year of college at Tulane in 2004. Paul had always caught Megan’s eye on campus. She was pleasantly surprised when he ended up on her intramural soccer team, thanks to their mutual friend and now best man, Lucien.
How he proposed: Paul picked Megan up from work on a Friday night. He took her back to the apartment in Washington, DC and had a rose pedal trail starting outside the door. Upon opening the door, there was a long trail leading to a circle in the middle of the room with lit tea light candles and a ring. My initial reaction was that he could’ve burned down the apartment! But it was okay. He got down on one knee in the middle of the circle, and I said yes!
Why New Orleans? Megan & Paul both wanted to tie the knot in New Orleans. It is such a special city for the two of them (where they fell in love,) and they wanted to share their love for the city with friends and family. They love the party atmosphere, and most of their guests got to party all night for three or four straight days. I’m sure they are still recovering. ;)
