A word from the bride: Damon and I met playing coed soccer when I moved to NYC. He proposed at Cafe Lalo in NYC over dessert. We chose New Orleans because we love it there and have been there many times together. We love the food, music, and the laid back attitude. For our family and friends, the majority would have to travel if the wedding was in NYC and we thought perhaps we’d make it a bit more of a fun long weekend for everyone by choosing New Orleans.
Wow, for memories of the wedding day… we just had so much fun having everyone there to celebrate. It seems odd but having two evening events before the wedding and then the wedding and reception, it didn’t seem like enough time to catch up with everyone. We loved the ceremony being outside even though it ended up a bit cold, having my nephew Willem catch the garter was hilarious especially as he was so excited. There was so much happening that evening it was hard to capture it all!
