How did you two meet? Beau and I met on September 28, 2007. It had to be fate because my friend wanted me to go to a haunted house that night, but I was exhausted. I made every excuse not to go, but I finally caved and decided to go. We have been inseparable ever since. He became my best friend since day one. Now, we are expecting our first bundle of joy and the baby is due on our 8 year anniversary. What a great way to celebrate!
How did Beau propose? Everyone that knows me knows that I’m TERRIBLE at surprises. I have to know and always ruin them. In January 2013, we went on a skiing trip to Keystone in Colorado. On the first day an hour after we landed, we went snowmobiling. I remember how excited I was because I have never done anything like that before. It was absolutely gorgeous. Beau took me to the top of a mountain on the snowmobile and we made a stop to check out the gorgeous view. I remember just staring and taking all the scenery in. Well, Beau’s Mom told us to turn around so she could take a picture of us. She said “Oops I accidentally hit video,” and that’s when Beau got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I was completely surprised and remember shaking because I was on cloud 9. I didn’t even want to touch the ring because I was afraid I would drop it in the 2 feet of snow we were in!
What are the most memorable moments from your wedding day? The entire night was just magical. My favorite moment of the night had to be when I walked down the staircase and Beau turned around to see me for the first time. It was absolutely priceless! We also laugh because we got married outside and it was freezing that night, but Beau and I were so excited we didn’t even notice it! Our main goal was definitely reached that night; we just wanted all of our guests to have fun! From the compliments we got and seeing everyone on the dance floor, I’d say it was a success!
