When Jamie inquired about her Key West wedding, I was overjoyed! There is something so special about exchanging vows on a beautiful island with close friends and family. The golden sunset and sail boats cruising by during the ceremony made the moment too beautiful for words. Key West is truly a charming place to tie the knot, and I was honored to be a part of Jamie and Adam’s wedding day.
Jamie and Adam go back to 2008. They had mutual friends, and had initially chatted in 2008. One of them was usually in a relationship, so it was just innocent talk. In October 2014, Jamie saw that Adam was no longer in a relationship on Facebook, so she sent him a message. They talked everyday, set up a date, and have been together ever since! Later down the road, they were going out for a friend’s birthday and were riding in Adam’s Nova (he loves classic/ old cars.) As they were leaving the house, he said he heard the car making a noise. He pulled into the yard under a huge oak tree to “check the noise.” He got out of the car, and the next thing Jamie saw was her door opening and Adam down on one knee. He said he “was tired of seeing her all fixed up and pretty and not having a ring on her finger.”
Jamie and Adam’s favorite memory from the wedding day was just soaking up the beauty surrounding them. The sunset, the sailboats in the background, the flowers, and all of their family and friends showing support and love. They felt extremely blessed with how everything turned out. Of course, seeing each other for the first time in that beautiful setting was the best!
Processional- Canon in D (on harp)
Recessional- Trumpet Voluntary (on harp)
First dance- Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran
Cake flavor: Bottom layer was yellow cake with chocolate ganache filling (Adam’s favorite.) The top layer was white cake with strawberries and cream filling (Jamie’s favorite.)
Jamie and Adam both wanted a beach ceremony, preferably an island. They considered other places, but ultimately decided on Key West because it was a short flight for their family and friends. They thought it would be easier for everyone if they didn’t leave the country. They are so glad that they did choose Key West; It was beautiful and laid back, just like they envisioned!
