I was pleasantly surprised to walk into a gorgeous shotgun house in New Orleans to find the beautiful Gina and her many bridesmaids and sisters preparing for the wedding. The first thing I noticed was an all glass wall and a gorgeous courtyard with hot pink flowers at the end of the house. Gina chose to do a first look with her father, and it brought tears to my eyes! Everything was perfect, and I was in photography heaven from there. When meeting up with the guys, I was SO excited to find them in suspenders in the coolest little bar in that part of town. The whole wedding party was SO fun to work with, and everyone was in good spirits and excited to celebrate Gina and John’s big day. Gina and John chose not to see each other before the ceremony but exchanged notes and gifts around a street corner. It was such a sentimental moment. The ceremony and reception took place in Venusian Gardens, an art museum filled with fun fiberglass art. The laid back atmosphere of the ceremony touched my heart. Gina and John read each other their vows while surrounded by their family and friends who traveled from all over the U.S. to witness this special day. The fathers, close friends, and siblings gave amazing speeches during the reception. The room was filled with LOVE and happiness. I am so excited for these two amazing people and their flourishing future together.

How they met: John and Gina met at Gina’s graduation party! John came with a friend of Gina’s, and it was love from there. They took multiple trips back and forth from Tucson to Los Angeles, and moved together to New Orleans three months later!
How John proposed: One amazing guy, one very surprised girl, one gorgeous ring, one blindfold, one set of earplugs and many of their closest friends and family!
Why New Orleans? It seemed almost fitting to have their wedding where their relationship truly started. Gina and John love New Orleans and wanted to share that with their closest family and friends! They were beyond blessed to see how many people traveled to NOLA to share their special day with them!
