A word from the bride:
How we met: Matt and I met on our first day of orientation for law school at a community service event.
How Matt proposed: Matt had told me he made reservations at a restaurant in Brooklyn. Before dinner we went for a walk on the water by Jane’s Carousel with a view of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. It was there that he got down on one knee and proposed to me. Afterwards we went to dinner and there as a surprise were both of our families waiting for us to celebrate. It was such a special night!
Why New Orleans? We decided to get married in New Orleans because in law school we were both part of a student organization that made two trips to New Orleans a year to do free legal work. It was on one of these trips that we got to know each other better and hit it off.
Most memorable moments from the wedding day: It’s so hard to choose the most memorable moments! For both of us the first look was really special. Taking that time with just the two of us to connect and have some time together before the wedding started was really special.
The second line was also a stand out moment. Coming from New York we had never experienced anything like it. It was so much fun to dance over to the reception with all our friends and family through the streets!
Dancing and having a great time with everyone at the reception. Our wedding band is so talented and really entertaining.
