Brandon and I met on the dating site Plenty of Fish about three years ago. He messaged me first. I didn’t answer back right away. I guess I was playing hard to get. Once I finally decided to give him a chance, I couldn’t get enough of him. He was so authentic and caring. He was very understanding about my disability. Most guys that I liked or dated never truly accept my disability. Brandon took his time to understand everything about my disability. After 3 or 4 months of talking, we finally met in person and went on our first date. It seemed so natural because we were already best friends by that time. A few weeks after that, he asked me to be his girlfriend. About a year and a half later, he asked me to be his wife. He proposed to me when we went on my family annual beach trip. I was thinking we were just taking family pictures like we always do. I had no idea that it was actually the proposal. I was completely surprised, especially because my family was able to keep it a secret. The most memorable moments of the wedding were rolling down the aisle with my two amazing dads, seeing Brandon’s face when I rolled out, and dancing with him the first time as Mr and Mrs. Smith!
