How they met: Chris and Amber actually met at a church youth service in a city that neither one of them lived in. He came with the guest speaker who happened to bring him and another guy up to the stage and show them off to “all the single ladies” and said that these good-looking guys were available. Chris certainly caught Amber’s attention then, but after the service, a group of them went to McDonald’s to eat. They also happened to sit across from each other at the table. Shortly after that, a few mutual friends set up another get together for them to meet up. He got her number that night, then that’s all she wrote!
How Chris proposed: Chris was so cleverly sneaky with proposing. They went to visit some out-of-town friends that weekend. While they were visiting, Chris’s dad called with a request to take them out to celebrate his parents (little did I know, fake anniversary.) Amber agreed to go eat with them even though it meant them leaving a day earlier then planned. After a seven hour drive, they got back home, got all dressed up, and went to the city to meet his parents. As they were walking through Jackson Square to go to the restaurant, he got to one knee and pulled out a ring. Amber is sure he said something perfectly sweet and romantic, but all she can remember is his face. Of course she said yes!!! Then tons of people started cheering, Amber thought how wonderful of all the strangers to applaud them. But then they started coming towards them and she realized, they weren’t strangers at all. They were all of their friends and family that had been hiding in the bushes. There was a photographer and everything who captured it all! A perfect night!
Most memorable part of their wedding day: Even though the wedding night itself rushed by, there were so many special moments. Amber loved the father daughter dance, she loved seeing so many wonderful friends and family come out to support them, and she loved to see them smile have such a great time. But most of all, she loved this smiling face that was waiting for her at the alter. Amber love the vows she and Chris made to each other, they are a reflection of their heart and their promises to one another. To be there for each other no matter what life brings… she wouldn’t trade that for anything in the world.
