Let me prepare you for all of the gorgeousness below! Alanna and Josh’s wedding had sooo many amazing details and heartfelt moments. It was seriously a photographer’s dream. I love love LOVE their custom invitations that depict them and their venue. Super cute! I also loved their vintage details on every single table. Alanna’s dress was very chic and unique. Their ceremony was under a huge oak tree, and their rustic style barn reception, complete with string lights, was very romantic. Josh’s face when he first saw Alanna walking up the isle was priceless. I love day time weddings and the gorgeous natural light it provides. They hired a folk singer, which really fit the mood! Everything went perfectly, and I was so glad to have the honor of capturing their wedding day.
How they met: Alanna and Joshua met at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Slidell when they were in the youth program. They became friends, and after a couple of weeks, began dating.
How he proposed: Josh proposed on the riverwalk at sunset in New Orleans. They were sitting there watching the boats, and then Alanna heard their song (Unforgettable by Nat King Cole.) As Alanna turned around, she saw her sister with their dog Stella and Stella had the ring tied to her collar on a bow. Josh knelt down and tried to get his speech out, but he had to cut it short since he was so nervous and choked up.
