When Aimee first contacted me about her Florida wedding, I instantly knew that we were a match! My heart is in Florida, and photographing their love story there was a dream. Aimee’s exuberant personality lights up the room and her smile brings warmth and comfort to all. She and Josh had family and friends travel to their beautiful destination wedding, mostly from Maine and Massachusetts. It was a lovely day on the bay.
Josh and I met in Bangor, ME. I had taken a contract position at the hospital there and just started working. It was the night before Thanksgiving and Josh had flown in from Chicago to visit his parents. We met in his friend’s kitchen (Richie, he was one of the 13 groomsmen.)
Josh proposed a weekend in February in between Valentine’s Day and my birthday (both in February.) He had booked me an appointment for a massage one evening and then met me for dinner at a local restaurant. There were roses and the whole wait staff and some of our friends were in on the surprise!

Our favorite moment from the event is the end result. It’s been six years in the making, one kiddo later, and we’ve worked really hard to get where we are today. It makes all the hard work and commitment that much more special. I can officially change my Y card to “Aimee Morse.” It just feels great!
